However, after rebirth, I went from being a dazzling genius to a lunatic in everyone’s eyes!
Because I chose a special major in light weapons engineering in college, which resulted in me and others having no common topics at all.
So in this life, I seemed to have become just a nerd that people looked down on.
Until one day, I accidentally turned on the “10,000-fold amplification” system.
This system can randomly increase the effect of my invention by 100 to 10,000 times, but the way to charge this system is to read continuously.
In order to charge, I squeezed almost all my time into books: reading when going to the toilet, reading when eating, and reading when walking!
Just when everyone thought I was completely stupid, I decided to use the superpowers given to me by the system for the first time.
I made up my mind to make a laser gun first. This time, I must reproduce the glory of my last life, keep getting stronger, and make the technological level of Dragon Country far ahead.
The design of the laser gun has taken shape in my mind, mainly divided into four modules: laser transmitter, power supply, optical path system and control system.
The power supply part can only be temporarily shelved. After all, there is not enough power supply on the market to support this energy-consuming monster. I will use a wire connection method instead.
The control system is simple, only the circuit board welding work is needed, and ten minutes is enough for me to get it done.
The optical path system has also been designed for a long time, and I just need to make it.
As for the laser transmitter, it is even simpler. The infrared lamp at the store at the entrance of the elementary school is actually a simple laser transmitter. A little modification can greatly increase the power.
Under the night, I relied on my tired body to start multi-line operation and used the grinding equipment in the laboratory to process the lenses of the optical path system.

How is this design for stability, especially if you add a somewhat heavy 2-space amplifier or two on the lower part and then 1-space fx, etc above it? Just a bit concerned the whole thing will topple over?

I checked your dimensions. The top slant is longer than the bottom slant in this video. However, the measurement on the website says they are the same. Could you measure again if possible?

Awesome video man! I have all the material and tools need to build this, but was just wondering, are your measurements exact? I’m from the United States, and some of the measurements (like 525mm or 490mm) comes out to around 20.67 inches or 19.35 inches. Should I just round up or down to the most logical measurement or does it need to be exact?

It's only a 2mm difference, but does it need to be 490mm as many I see have 488mm spacing for a 19" rack unit. I guess an extra 1mm either side won't make much difference. Also, as a tip, get a pocket hole jig and you could fit with pocket holes instead of the corner braces, which would be stronger and also invisible without visible hardware for a nicer finish 🙂

Do you always leave half a space between all your gear for heat? Also, do you stack gear on top of the power conditioner? Do you power cycle your gear off every night, and do you do it individually or with the power conditioner?

If rack rails would be 1cm deeper, you could put LED strip around the fronts of the gear. Best strip would be with „milky” finish instead of bare LED as their bright points will make eyes tired very quick. In your studio light is ok, so this idea is more for peoples at home studios. It also gives some protection for the gear if it’s slightly deeper.
