The Night Manager season two has finally premiered, leaving fans eager for the next episode.
Loki legend Tom Hiddleston returns as ex-soldier Jonathan Pine in the BBC’s 2016 thriller, The Night Manager. Despite the surprise renewal for a second series in 2024, viewers were thrilled to see it back on their screens.
The first episode reveals that Pine’s adversary Richard Roper, portrayed by Hugh Laurie, has met his end at the hands of his Syrian captors.
Pine, now living under the alias Alex Goodwin and working as a low-ranking MI6 officer, finds his new life unravelling after encountering a former associate of Roper’s.
When is The Night Manager next on?
After a decade-long hiatus, The Night Manager made its comeback with the second series premiering on New Year’s Day, Thursday, January 1, on BBC One.
Thankfully, fans won’t have to wait a full week for the next episode.

The second episode of The Night Manager’s second series is set to air on Sunday, January 4, at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
While the first episode was a special New Year’s Day airing, the remainder of the series will continue every Sunday in the same timeslot.
This schedule means that the sixth and final episode of The Night Manager’s second series will be broadcast on Sunday, February 1.
For those who can’t wait to see what happens next, the second episode is already available for streaming on BBC iPlayer.
Despite the palpable anticipation for the drama’s comeback, many viewers expressed their bewilderment due to the decade-long gap since its initial series.
One viewer shared: “Was struggling to understand why I couldn’t for the life of me remember what happened in season 1 of #TheNightManagerS2 only to google it and see that it aired TEN years ago? Girl bye.”
Another concurred: “I have no idea what is going on,” while a third commented: “Not sure if it would be easier to follow if they didn’t keep cutting back to characters from 10 years ago that I have forgotten about.”
A fourth viewer humorously added: “Watching #TheNightManagerS2 when you already have a notoriously bad memory.”
The Night Manager continues every Sunday at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
