Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone insists that Giacomo Raspadori’s attitude in training doesn’t suggest the Italian will leave in January, but the Colchoneros are ‘open to whatever may happen’ in the winter transfer window.
Atletico Madrid coach Simeone provided transfer updates on Italian striker Raspadori, who has been linked with a return to Serie A, with Roma and Lazio interested.
“He keeps working with the same sense of responsibility he has always shown since he arrived. The way he trains doesn’t indicate anything related to a departure,” Simeone said via Marca.
“We’re open to whatever may happen; we take things one game at a time and focus on the next match.”
According to various sources in Italy, Atletico Madrid have agreed to send Raspadori to Roma on loan with an option to buy, but the player has yet to decide on his future as Lazio and Turkish side Galatasaray are also interested in his signature. According to Sky Sport Italia, even Napoli are considering bringing the 25-year-old back to the Stadio Maradona this month.
Raspadori moved to Atletico Madrid last summer and has collected two goals and three assists in 14 appearances across all competitions with the Colchoneros this term.
Roma are also interested in Manchester United forward Joshua Zikrzee and hope to bring both him and Raspadori to the Olimpico this month.
