Contrary to popular belief, rotating your toes out does not increase glute & posterior chain activation. Instead it decreases it.

First, the glute maximus is the primary muscle we’re targeting with hip thrusts & glute bridges. In terms of functional anatomy, hip alignment is paramount for gluteal activation as a neutral or straight alignment allows us to fulfill the purpose of the glutes which is hip extension.
In fact foundational principles of athrokinematics, osteokinematics, & functional anatomy suggest it’s better to have feet perfectly straight or even slightly internally rotated for max glute activation. That’s partly due to anatomy of the hip joint & also due to straight foot position creating greater torque into the floor. This leads to the next point.
Straight or slightly internally rotated foot position maximizes foot & ankle activation which in turns increases firing up kinetic chain particularly in glutes. Additionally, big toe activation is paramount not only for lower body activation but especially for the glutes as well as hip adductor muscles. When we rotate knees, feet, & hips out we minimize big toe activation meaning entire lower body recruitment patterns are compromised.
Finally, we have to consider principles of matching force vectors & joint centration showing that neutral alignment or straight position is optimal when force vectors are straight as this not only maximizes muscle activation but also places joints & muscles in most biomechanically sound position to b produce & absorb force safely with optimal joint stacking. Vacations/ trips are for work or pleasure, but either way, doesn’t mean it’s an excuse to go off the rails and not workout or not move your body AT ALL

That’s my personal view on it, but even some moving is better then none…

So I always pick a hotel that has some sort of gym, doesn’t have to be state of the art and I will make a great workout happen! 🔥

DBs and a bench or stair is all you need for this one
I had upper body day, so that is what this is

Decline push ups 3 sets of 5-7 reps
Single arm push press 3 sets of 8 reps / arm
Front to lateral raise. 3 sets of 8
Heavy bicep curls. 3 sets of 10-12

That’s it!! Took 35 min and my arms feel great! 💪🏼
