Brooklyn Beckham is reportedly “still very fond of his grandparents” despite not returning to the UK to celebrate the festive season with them.

Growing up Brooklyn seemed to have a great relationship with his grandparents, in fact he saw about as much of Jackie Adams and Sandra Beckham as he did of his parents. Despite the tension with his parents, Brooklyn has always been very fond of his grandparents, and that love has “never faltered”.

In a disappointing turn of events leading up to Christmas, Brooklyn unfollowed his parents, as well as his brother Cruz, on Instagram, despite their recent attempts at reconciliation. The news came to light when Cruz debunked media reports suggesting that it was David and Victoria who had done the unfollowing.

Cruz posted a screenshot of the article with a caption stating: “NOT TRUE My mum and dad would never unfollow their son… Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I.” This revelation led to a flurry of criticism directed at Brooklyn and Nicola on their festive social media posts.

The family has been embroiled in a bitter feud, with David and Lady Victoria’s eldest son, Brooklyn, 26, cutting ties with the Beckhams and remaining absent from their recent special events. After swerving his dad’s 50th birthday celebrations and celebrating Christmas and New Year with his wife and her clan, their relationship appears to be all but over after they were all blocked on social media.

Brooklyn has gone all out to celebrate special occasions with his wife and in-laws, including throwing his 31-year-old wife a ballerina-themed birthday party. Complete with a pink cake with a model ballet-dancer on the top, Brooklyn has given his all to his wife, who he called his “prima” – but has essentially disowned his own family.

Despite David offering an olive branch on New Year’s Eve by sharing a sweet childhood photo of him and his beloved first-born – Brooklyn is showing no signs of letting up as he continues to dismiss any gesture from his family. Brooklyn even missed his dad being knighted by King Charles last year, giving them every indication that he will not be present for his Hollywood honour, despite living minutes away.

The festive period for the Beckhams was perhaps not quite the reunion Brooklyn’s grandparents had hoped for as in early December, Sandra attempted to begin a conversation with Brooklyn after he posted a festive video of himself wrapping up a bottle of his hot sauce.

In what amounted to a hint that she was hoping to see her grandson over Christmas and put the months of fall-out and upset behind them, she posted in the comments section: “That for me?”, followed by a series of sweet emojis.

Brooklyn didn’t return to the UK to see them over the Christmas period despite Jackie hanging a Christmas stocking for him from the mantlepiece of the fireplace at her Hertfordshire home, alongside stockings for her other 11 grandchildren. Despite his absence sources say Brooklyn does “adore them”.

A friend of the 26-year-old chef and influencer told MailOnline: “While things between him and his parents are over, Brooklyn is still very fond of his grandparents. There is a lot of love for them, and that has never faltered.”

“The first Brooklyn’s grandparents knew of him and Nicola renewing their wedding vows was when they saw pictures they had shared of it online,’ says a well-placed source. He was raised by his grandparents, Jackie and Sandra, when he was little and his parents were working. He adores them, but he didn’t even tell them about this.

“Imagine being an old lady missing her grandson and seeing all of this on the internet. It must have been absolutely heartbreaking for them.”
