The Nerazzurri had tested goalkeeper Federico Ravaglia several times during the first half, including with Marcus Thuram, Lautaro Martinez and Alessandro Bastoni.
However, there was little he could do when Marcus Thuram’s back-heel flick found Lautaro Martinez, who kept it going for Zielinski to smash home with that powerful left foot from the edge of the area.
It was the Poland international’s third goal of the season in all competition, but only the second in Serie A after the 2-1 win over Verona in November.
