Tottenham ‘Crazy’ About Signing Yan Diomande
Tottenham Hotspur are showing interest in RB Leipzig rising star Yan Diomande amid his breakout season in Germany, GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano has revealed.
The North London side, along with several other Premier League and European clubs, are believed to be keeping track of the 19-year-old winger as a potential transfer target for the future.
Diomande’s departure from Leipzig remains unlikely in January, as the Bundesliga side aim to keep hold of the Ivory Coast international at least until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old, who only joined Leipzig from Spanish side Leganes last summer, has scored six goals and provided three assists in his first 14 Bundesliga appearances.
Tottenham Keen on Yan Diomande
Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel, revealed that several clubs are ‘completely crazy’ over Diomande, but any move for the player would likely require ‘breaking the bank’ in January:
“Another player who is driving crazy, completely crazy, several clubs is playing in Germany and is Yan Diomande, the winger from RB Leipzig.
“Leipzig don’t want to sell the player in January. Leipzig will do their best to keep the player in January. “So eventually it could be a move for the summer or, in order to make it happen in January, clubs need to convince Leipzig, and it’s never easy with the Red Bull group.
“So you should probably think about breaking the bank, and it’s not even guaranteed that it’s going to be possible. “Many clubs are following him. I told you already about Manchester United.
“Manchester United are following Yan Diomande, are really interested in Diomande for the future. So, tracking him, at the moment, are monitoring the player. “Then Tottenham are doing the same. Paris Saint-Germain are also following Yan Diomande, and I’m told that more Premier League clubs are also tracking the situation.”
Romano also suggested that a significant proposal would be needed to convince Leipzig to sell amid reports the German club value Diomande at £87m (€100m).
Diomande Likened to Antoine Semenyo
Diomande’s standout displays in the Bundesliga have earned him glowing comparisons to highly sought-after Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo.
The Ghanaian forward, who has been one of the Premier League’s best players this season, looks set to join Manchester City this month.
While Diomande looks set to stay at Leipzig until the end of the season, it’s hardly surprising that his explosiveness and technical ability make him an appealing winger option for top Premier League clubs.
The ‘outrageous’ Ivorian forward is under contract with Leipzig until the end of the 2029/30 season.
Tottenham Make Bid for Souza

The North London side are claimed to be looking to bolster their full-back options in January after losing Destiny Udogie to a hamstring injury, but were issued a stern response by the Brazilian club, who are hesitant to entertain Souza’s departure.
