A HYPNOTHERAPIST allegedly drugged and raped dozens of women and filmed several of the horrifying attacks in France.

Cyril Zattara, 47, is currently on trial accused of sexually abusing 14 women over a decade – and filming 20 alleged victims without their consent.

Zattara, who is also a dance teacher, has admitted to 10 of the rape charges, and has already been in detention for five years.

The trial is being held behind closed doors in the city of Aix-en-Provence and is due to last at least two weeks.

The case was opened in 2019 when a 24-year-old woman filed a complaint following a hypnosis session with Zattara – a self-taught hypotherapist.

She claimed she was raped by the defendant after drinking part of a glass of wine, passing out and vomiting later on.

Zattara’s DNA was found under the alleged victim’s fingernails and inside her underwear.

The defendant is accused of slipping sleeping pills into various victims’ drinks before sexually assaulting them.

He allegedly often targeted women he was already friendly with or in intimate relationships with, cops believe.

Alleged victims claimed to wake up dazed and confused following encounters with Zattara, before he would blame their condition on his hypnosis or alcohol.

However, blood and hair tests showed that multiple victims had ingested tranquillisers.

Police also discovered photos and videos on the defendant’s computer which showed the alleged victims in seemingly semi-conscious states during sex.

It comes after the Gisèle Pelicot case which shocked France in 2024.

The high-profile trial saw Pelicot’s husband, Dominique, drug her for nearly a decade and invite dozens of men to rape her while she was unconscious.

Brave Gisèle, who waived her anonymity, became a symbol of resistance after revealing she had no memory of the assaults and had been abused by at least 72 men.

That landmark trial exposed a sprawling network of men recruited online, a vast archive of videos and photos documenting hundreds of assaults.

It also revealed a sick grooming pattern in which Pelicot’s husband mixed powerful sedatives into her food and drink.

That case, which concluded with sweeping convictions in December 2024, set a stark legal and cultural benchmark in France.

It also comes after another woman has revealed she was raped more than a thousand times by her evil partner while she was unconscious.

In a heart-breaking interview, Amanda Stanhope said the abuse left her so confused she believed she could have Alzheimer’s.

In an astonishing and heartbreaking interview, Amanda says: “I am the British Gisele Pelicot.

“What happened to her, happened to me.

“I was on so much medication that he was able to rape me every night for more than three years.

“It was only when he hit me so hard during one attack that I actually woke up.

“My world fell apart. I was in love with an evil, calculating, manipulative monster.

“When Gisele spoke out, I realised I wasn’t alone. Now by doing the same, I hope I can help other women too.”
