Is VAR in operation for Man Utd v Brighton in the FA Cup third round?

Manchester United face Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford on Sunday, kicking off at 16:30 GMT.

There will be no video-assistant referees in place for this and the next phase of the competition, nor will semi-automated offside technology be called upon to decide any tight calls.

This mirrors last season’s stance, when they only came into operation from the fifth round onwards.

However, the offside system will only be in place at games being held in Premier League stadiums from that point.
