Serious police incident in Lindley Road area of Rawcliffe

North Yorkshire Police tonight confirmed that officers had been called to Lindley Road, in Rawcliffe, York, at 5.50pm today (Saturday, January 10).

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, believed to have been caused by a knife.

“If there are any witnesses that have not come forward to police yet, please call 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

In an update just before 10pm tonight, the force said a 35-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the incident.
