Reform UK’s Rupert Lowe says the party should not become a haven for all Tory MPs who opt to defect.
Speaking on GB News, the MP for the populist party said Suella Braverman’s husband will be the next scalp from the Conservative Party.
But “Reform is Reform”, he said, suggesting not every Tory MP will suit Nigel Farage’s movement.
Asked if more defections are in the offing, he said: “I don’t think we want to be the home for every Tory who wants to defect.

“Reform is Reform. We’re a young party, we’re putting in the infrastructure. I think people know when you have a young party – we might be rough around the edges.
“If you read our contract with the people, it’s based on common sense and logic and everything we continue to do will be based on that theme.

“We’re doing what we need to do in Parliament. The Tory Party is broken, Kemi Badenoch has a huge job to do. The first thing she has to do is clean out Tory head office, which is not fit for purpose.
“The second thing she needs to do is purge her party of the MPs, the one nation Tories that are not Tories. If she can’t do that huge, Herculean job, Reform is there to unite common sense and start getting sensible government back into Britain.”
The former Southampton FC owner said while the party would welcome some Tory MPs, many would be better suited to the Liberal Democrats.
It comes after ex-Tory MP Andrea Jenkyns announced her defection to the party last month.
She will stand as the party’s candidate to be mayor of Greater Lincolnshire in May 2025.
Dame Andrea, who lost her seat in the July general election, said the Conservative Party was “beyond salvage” after she “fought to the bitter end”.
Farage’s party is riding the crest of a wave after a new poll put them above Labour for the first time.
They surged three points to 21 percent in the latest Techne UK poll, as the insurgent party continues to close the gap with Labour and the Conservatives.
The survey of 1,644 voters conducted on Friday shows Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour Party narrowly maintaining their lead at 27 per cent, down one point from last week.
The Conservatives remain in second place at 25 per cent, dropping two points.
Earlier this week, a Find Out Now poll put Reform UK ahead of Labour for the first time, showing 24 percent support for Farage’s party compared to Labour’s 23 per cent.
Reform chairman Zia Yusuf declared: “Reform has all the momentum in British politics. The British people want real change after years of failure and deception.”
The party recently surpassed 100,000 members and unveiled former Tory minister Dame Andrea Jenkyns as their candidate for Greater Lincolnshire mayor.
“Labour has hundreds of employees, 402 MPs and the full apparatus and distribution of the government at its disposal. Reform is polling ahead of them with 5 MPs and 16 employees,” Yusuf added.
Farage responded to the polling surge saying: “And we’re just getting started.”
