Police are growing concerned about Russel, last seen at the ground during United’s FA Cup match against Brighton

Police have issued an urgent appeal for help to trace a missing Manchester United fan who was last seen at Old Trafford.

The man, named only as Russel, was last seen at the football ground during the Manchester United v Brighton FA Cup match on Sunday (January 11). Police said he was last seen at around 6.30pm, just after the 4.30pm game would have finished.

The 55-year-old was wearing a Manchester United hat with a blue coat, blue tracksuit and blue trainers when he went missing. Greater Manchester Police issued a photo of him on social media in the early hours of this morning (Monday) as part of an appeal for help to track him down.

Russel is described as being a white male, who is around 6ft tall and of large build. He also has a brown, stubble beard, police added.

“Officers are becoming increasingly concerned about Russel and want to make sure he is safe and well”, officers said in the appeal. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact the force.
