The Traitors Ireland will premiere on BBC One in just a few days, with Derry Girls star Siobhán McSweeney hosting 24 contestants at Slane Castle

The Traitors has been a hit with fans from the second it appeared on our TV screens and while everyone’s attention may be glued to the current UK edition of the show, fans have another series to look forward to.

The Traitors Ireland will soon be available to stream as its premiere date has now been confirmed. To make things even better, it’s just around the corner and will air in just a few days. Hosted by Derry Girls and The Great Pottery Throw Down star Siobhán McSweeney, the series sees 24 contestants head to Slane Castle.

Yet again, the contestants will be competing for a chance to win a cash prize, though they’ll face plenty of hurdles along the way. Originally broadcast in its home country on RTÉ One across August and September last year, many UK viewers have been eager to see another spin-off of TV’s most popular game.

Now their wait is over, with The Traitors Ireland set to debut on BBC One at midnight on Saturday 24 January.

The second episode will air an hour later at 1am, though there’s no further information beyond that instalment (via BBC).

It’s also uncertain what the release schedule on streaming service BBC iPlayer will look like, though international versions of the show have typically been added to the streamer in full, so perhaps it will be the same for the Irish version.

Significantly, the premiere on BBC One comes just hours after the fourth season of the UK version wraps up for another year.

As expected things will get heated as host Claudia Winkleman reveals whether a Faithful or Traitor will take the money home.

While we still have some time to go until then, this week proved to be a dramatic one and fans watching at home can’t seem to get enough.

There have been several significant exits taking place during the latest series, where a bitter feud between Traitors led to a dramatic banishment.

After Fiona Hughes declared war on fellow Traitor Rachel Duffy, the rest of the cast were left to choose sides. However, it soon became clear that Rachel had emerged victorious when Fiona was banished.

The night before, Amanda Collier was the one facing the chop as she was banished. The former police detective was left mortified upon discovering that Rachel, her closest ally in the castle, had been a Traitor all along.
