Popeyes to open first Bolton restaurant in Middlebrook
The popular American fried chicken restaurant will be opening in Middlebrook Retail Park on January 23.
The upcoming Bolton branch will be its first opening of 2026 and its fourth restaurant in Greater Manchester.
On the opening day, Popeyes will be offering serval giveaways.
Excited foodies who get there early could win lots of treats, including merchandise and free sandwiches.
The first four people queuing on foot and the first four cars in the Popeyes Park & Serve bays will win an entire year’s supply of free Deluxe Chicken Sandwiches.
On top of this, the first 50 people queuing will also win exclusive merchandise, and the first 100 will get a free Deluxe Chicken Sandwich.
Popeyes is known for drawing crowds at its launches, and it is expected to be the same in Bolton.

“The support we’ve seen across Greater Manchester has been incredible, and we can’t wait to share the bold flavours of New Orleans with even more fans very soon.”
To ensure you don’t miss out on giveaways, it would be wise for customers to get there earlier.
Fried chicken fans will be able to try the ‘iconic’ Chicken Sandwich, as well as new 2026 menu items like the Shatter Crunch Savers.
This menu comes with 28 new items, starting at £1.99.
The new dishes include the Chicken Cruncher, a chicken tender made from 100 per cent fresh chicken, drizzled with Popeyes’ smoky Kickback Sauce, and served in a sweet bun.
Other options like the Chicken Sandwich, Hot Wings, Tenders, and Signature Chicken Wraps will also be available.
All Popeyes chicken is prepared by being marinated for 12 hours in its signature blend of bold Louisiana seasoning.
It is then hand-breaded and battered to create the well-known ‘Shatter-Crunch’.
The new restaurant plans to bring 82 new jobs to Bolton.
The restaurant will feature 86 seats, self-service kiosks, four Park & Serve bays, and designated pick-up points for online orders.
