Another player was forced to leave the castle after being banished on Wednesday

A Traitors star has made a shock admission after their exit on Wednesday (January 14). BBC fans were delighted to see Claudia Winkleman return to the Scottish Highlands earlier this month, as 22 new players hoped to lie, betray and backstab their way to winning £100,000.

After banishing their second Traitor last week, Faithfuls Matthew and Harriet headed to the chapel to ask the remaining Traitors two questions – a power they had earned in the Walled Garden earlier that day. Matthew asked who the Traitors planned to murder next, with Rachel and Stephen answering Jessie. The Faithful then asked if they could murder Jessie next, before recruiting him.

At the start of tonight’s episode, Harriet was stood in front of the confessional and asked the Traitors who they planned to recruit next. She then left Rachel and Stephen gobsmacked when she revealed that she had been lying about her job and was, in fact, a former criminal barrister and psychological thriller writer.

That’s not all, as Harriet also shared her plans to out Rachel as a Traitor, with a terrified Rachel admitting: “She’s scaring the life out of me.”

An explosive interaction took place the next morning when Harriet decided to share her thoughts about Rachel with the rest of the group.

“I’m afraid, I’m not acting as a collective with anybody anymore. I’m afraid, I’m done with that… Rachel, my intention tonight at [the] roundtable is to lay out my evidence for why I think you are a Traitor,” Harriet said, leaving everyone else speechless.

Despite her intuition being correct, Harriet’s outburst at breakfast led to her fellow players being suspicious of her. Noticing that she would likely be banished at the roundtable, Harriet decided to “sacrifice” herself, urging the group to look at Rachel, Roxy and Matthew once she confirmed her identity as a Faithful.

However, shortly after Harriet’s banishment, the remaining players instantly dismissed the allegations against Rachel as they didn’t suspect her, and instead focused their attention on Roxy and Matthew.

Speaking to host Ed Gamble on The Traitors: Uncloaked, Harriet revealed that her allegiances had changed after watching the episode back, with the Faithful now rooting for the Traitors to win.

“I know I said then that I was hoping for a Faithful victory, but there is a part of me now which is a bit like, ‘Hang on a minute, none of them listened to me, why should they get anything?’” she said.

“I think Stephen and Rachel, up to that point at least, definitely deserve it. I hate to say I’m team Traitor, but at least I’d have been beaten by Brazil, you know.”

On why she decided to go on the offensive at breakfast, Harriet added: “I didn’t want to give [the Traitors] the opportunity to spin anything against me in advance. I mean, I knew what I’d said in the confessional and I was, at that point, believing there had been five people cramped in that chapel, and so everyone was against me.

“I just had to get my cards out on the table, as far as I was concerned. People could then make of it what they would, but at least I would know I had controlled my own narrative as much as was humanly possible. There was no strategy by this point.”
