The Traitors' Harriet Finding Out The Truth About Rachel Is TV Gold

The most recent episode of The Traitors saw former barrister and novelist Harriet being banished from the castle after her her self-professed “kamikaze” round-table move.

In the meme-worthy scenes, Harriet laid out her evidence against Rachel for her fellow Faithfuls, and after failing to convince them, wound up urging them to vote her out instead, to show how steadfast she was in her own argument.

After the main show, she then appeared on the companion show Uncloaked, where she learned the true identity of the Traitors.

In a VT that was filmed after her exit from the BBC show, Harriet reaffirmed her distrust of Rachel, as well as voicing her suspicions of Roxy, Sam, Jessie and James.

She began by unrolling the scroll to reveal that Stephen was one of two Traitors, declaring: “Oh, Stephen! A good Lewis boy there. I like that, representing for the Western Isles.”

“That is tremendous, but oh, he has done a brilliant job, good for him, in the worst possible way,” she added.

Harriet then pulled down the paper to reveal Rachel’s name, proving her long-held suspicions to be right. Upon reading Rachel’s name on the paper, she let out an excited squeal and started laughing.

“Sorry, forgive me – it’s just nice to be right,” Harriet beamed. “What is lovely about this is now I can really cheer on team Faithful and I just really hope if they end up up against Rachel, I think that I’ve done enough to ruin Rachel’s credibility at the end.”

When interviewed on the companion show, host Ed Gamble asked if Harriet was nervous during that reveal because she had so strongly believed Rachel was a traitor.

“It was just such a relief. All the other mistakes just fade into complete insignificance. However much it didn’t do me any good, I was right. That is a vindication that I will take to my grave,” she told the host.

Despite her certainty during breakfast at the round table about Rachel’s secret identity, Harriet admitted she harboured some doubts that she was right afterwards.

“I came out of that and I was a complete crumbling wreck of what if I’ve got that completely wrong,” she confessed. “I’ve put my entire house on this horse and what if that horse is a donkey?”

The Traitors continues on Thursday and Friday at 8pm on BBC One.
