Conor McGregor’s 13-Word Response to Dana White Blocking His White House Fight
It was not long before Conor McGregor responded.
The former two-weight UFC champion has not fought in mixed martial arts since 2021, when he lost back-to-back bouts to Dustin Poirier but, regardless, has perpetually been linked with a return to the Octagon against American fighter Michael Chandler — with a speculated spot on the prospective card to be held at The White House in June, 2026.
But speaking to Complex in an interview published this week, White declared that McGregor vs Chandler is “not realistic” for an event US President Donald Trump wants to coincide with his 80th birthday, as well as the 250th anniversary plans of the United States around the 4th of July.
Now, McGregor has had his say.

Conor McGregor Responds to Dana White
It all started earlier on Thursday when Complex dropped its segment with White. He seemed to dismiss the match-up as something only relevant “a couple of years ago.”
McGregor responded within hours.
McGregor added: “The Mac sweats nothin’ and nobody. I’m tasty shots.”
White did intimate that, following UFC 324 and UFC 325 — the market-leading MMA firm’s two numbered events with new broadcast partner Paramount+ — matchmakers would start to consider building the card with fights that would take place in Washington D.C.
McGregor vs Chandler is not the only fight to have captivated the attention of the MMA fanbase for The White House, as Alex Pereira has emerged as a considerable candidate to fight Jon Jones, and it’s a fight both guys seemingly want — at light heavyweight, or heavyweight. While White said the fight itself is “fine,” he remains reluctant to reward Jones with such a platform. “Can I count on Jon Jones? You can’t have Jones doing something bad, or pulling out of The White House fight.”
It leaves very few viable options, though UFC could book Ilia Topuria against the Justin Gaethje vs Paddy Pimblett winner, Tom Aspinall vs Ciryl Gane, or Islam Makhachev vs Shavkat Rakhmonov.
