Why the Nasdaq Composite Is Lagging the S&P 500 and Dow
A rotation away from Big Tech and into smaller stocks was a big drag on the Nasdaq Composite on Wednesday.
The tech-heavy index fell 1.2%, while the S&P 500 was down 0.7%. The Dow was down just 100 points, or 0.2%.
About 300 of the stocks in the S&P 500 were rising, but the ones that weren’t made all the difference.
