Cardiff City: Harry Tyrer set to sign as transfer embargo lifted
Cardiff City are free to resume their January transfer work after an EFL transfer embargo was lifted, with Everton goalkeeper Harry Tyrer set to become the League One leaders’ first signing of the winter window.
Cardiff were placed under an embargo last week for failing to submit their annual accounts on time.
The Bluebirds had maintained an administrative issue had been behind the delay and stressed it would “not impact their January recruitment strategy”.
With paperwork now filed, Cardiff have been cleared to register players between now and the transfer deadline on Monday, 2 February.
Tyrer, 24, has agreed a move to Cardiff City Stadium and completed a medical.
