Three planning decisions in Darlington you may have missed
Here are three planning decisions in Darlington you may have missed this week (January 12-16):
Expansion and refurbishment of Polam Hall School
Listed building consent has been granted for significant works at Polam Hall School on Grange Road.
The project includes demolition, partial demolition, and refurbishment of existing structures, as well as the construction of a new two-storey extension to the main building.
The proposal, submitted on August 20 and approved with conditions, seeks to modernise the historic school site while retaining key heritage features.
Plans to convert bungalow into two-storey home
Permission has been granted to remodel a bungalow at 1 Essex Way.
The approved works will convert the property into a two-storey house, including a rear dormer to facilitate a loft conversion and two Velux windows on the front elevation.
The application was submitted on September 12 and approved with conditions.
Plans to demolish outbuildings and build two new homes
Outline consent has been granted for the demolition of outbuildings at Briar House, 2 Blackwell, to make way for two new dwellings.
The scheme also includes a new access drive connecting to the existing access.
All matters remain reserved at this stage.
The application was submitted on July 26 and approved with conditions on January 16.
