Leeds make major Wilfried Gnonto decision as Jack Harrison agrees to leave
Leeds United have agreed a deal to sell one of the club’s highest earners this month, and Daniel Farke will block any exit for winger Wilfried Gnonto as a result.
Farke delighted as Leeds snatch late win
Farke described his side’s 1-0 home Premier League win against Fulham as their best of the season.
Substitute Lukas Nmecha fired a deserved stoppage-time winner as Leeds halted in-form Fulham’s six-game unbeaten league run to stay eight points clear of the relegation zone.
Leeds beat Everton on the opening day following promotion and have also defeated Chelsea and Brentford, 3-1 and 4-1 respectively, at Elland Road this season.
When asked why this latest win was better, Farke said: “Today we faced a really in-form side, who’ve delivered performances, result after result in recent weeks.
“We fully deserved to win this game. We didn’t give one proper chance during the whole game. We’ve missed several chances, but stayed relentless to the end.
“We were able to deliver a clean sheet today – I think the first at home since August – and we had late heartbreak against Newcastle.
“And then today, we were there with the late goal in added time after we lost the first fixture (against Fulham at Cottage Road) in a similar way.”
Dream for Calvert-Lewin: Leeds to reignite move for £50k-per-week “machine”
This Premier League star could help make Leeds more of a threat going forward
The manager was without Slovenia defender Jaka Bijol and midfielder Anton Stach through injury, with the just two weeks remaining in the transfer window to strengthen the ranks.
49ers Enterprises may feel the need to sell before buying this month however, with reports now confirming they are set to shift one high earner off the books.
Harrison set to leave Leeds to join Fiorentina
According to a report from Football Insider, Jack Harrison’s move to Italy is all but done, with the midfielder agreeing to join Fiorentina and both sides happy with the terms of the deal.
All that’s left is the announcement, and that will have a knock-on effect on Gnonto, who will now not be allowed to leave after continuous exit links through the last few transfer windows.

Leeds were told to cash in on Harrison following a poor performance against Derby County in the FA Cup, and it seems the 29 year-old’s time at Elland Road is finally up after 219 appearances for the Whites.
Scoring 34 goals and providing 32 assists along the way, Harrison has certainly played his part in dragging the club into the top tier and keeping them there, but it’s fair to say he is no longer at the required level, with no direct goal involvements this season.
