Emergency services called to Bromley Cross after car smashes into wall
Emergency services were called just before 8.30pm to Thorsby Close, with the crash taking down the wall and fencing of the house.
The homeowners were watching television when they heard the crash.
One of the homeowners said: “I’ve never seen anything like this mess.
“There was a loud noise heard outside the house, we were sat watching telly and there were a loud noise and a bang, then there was a car sat in our wall.”

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “Officers attended Thorsby Close, Bromley Cross at around 8:23pm yesterday, where a car had reportedly collided with a wall outside a residential property causing damage. No injuries and no arrests.”
There was smashed glass from the car strewn on the garden and driveway, along with bricks.
Although the cause of this crash is unknown, a councillor said they had worked to make the roads safer in the area, given the number of crashes in Bromley Cross, including on Darwen Road, and where cars had crashed into property.
Another homeowner has previously told The Bolton News how motorists have crashed into her wall six times. Her house is on Haydock Lane, which is also off Hospital Road.
Following the number of accidents in the Bromley Cross area in the past year, with speed cameras being installed to help combat this.
Cllr Nadim Muslim, representing Bromley Cross, said that they were working to prevent accidents in the area.
He said he could not comment on this specific incident as he did not too much about it and was subject to an investigation.
However, Cllr Muslim called on drivers generally in the area to keep to the speed limit in the area.

He said “Unfortunately there’s always reckless drivers who don’t want to follow the speed limit.
“If people followed the speed limit these wouldn’t happen.
“Unfortunately, there’s always going to be idiots who will disregard the rules of the road.”
As well, the police set up a mobile speed camera to catch speeders on the road connecting Turton to Egerton this month.
The Bolton News reported in November that speed cameras installed in and around Bromley Cross have caught drivers going top speeds of 70mph, according to councillors.
Alongside the top speed of 70mph, a driver was caught at 50mph – when the usual speed limits around the area are 40mph at most cameras.
