According to BettingLounge, both Michael Carrick and Liam Rosenior will deliver over the next 16 games with Liverpool AND Newcastle missing out.

Arsenal come out as champions with 86 points, 36 more than they have now.

Manchester City are seven further back and only hold off Aston Villa in third by three points.

It is the race for Europe which is the tightest right now after the top four all failed to win but Chelsea and United both did over the weekend.

The model suggests that the Blues will get fourth spot for the second year running with United pipping Newcastle to the all-important fifth place which is expected to result in UCL qualification again.

Carrick, who won his first match in charge on Saturday against City, is predicted to pick up seven wins and 23 points from his final 16 in the dugout.

Rosenior goes even better than that, winning eight and drawing three at Stamford Bridge to rack up 27 points between now and the end of May.

Chelsea beat Brentford 2-0 to deliver a first Premier League victory in his career at the first time of asking and it is forecast to spur them on further.

The supercomputer has Keith Andrews’ side dropping down from seventh to 11th with Sunderland finishing eighth back in the big time.

Liverpool, fourth, are five points above Fulham after 22 games but are predicted to only get 21 more, ending up behind Newcastle on goal difference.

The condensed nature of the table continues, though. With Arne Slot’s men two results from 11th now, four points is predicted to separate United in fifth to Brentford in 11th at the end.

Tottenham, 14th, drop even further and below Leeds and Bournemouth with just 18 points from 16 matches.

Whether Thomas Frank survives is not clear but they do avoid relegation and improve on last season’s 17th place, albeit not by much.

The bottom is predicted to finish as it is with West Ham unable to beat the drop and Wolves getting up to 16 points but still coming last.

Nottingham Forest almost double their tally to reach 43 points, well clear of their rivals.
