David Beckham Shrugs Off Brooklyn Questions During Public Appearance
Sir David Beckham was hit with questions about his eldest son as he made his first public appearance since Brooklyn Peltz Beckham spoke out against the family in a series of candid Instagram posts.
The Beckhams have been at the centre of feud rumours for the last few months, with Brooklyn breaking his silence on Monday evening to confirm he has no intention of reconciling with his parents Sir David and Victoria Beckham.
On Tuesday morning, the former England striker made an appearance at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where a reporter from Sky News bombarded him with questions about Brooklyn’s posts.
However, Sir David ignored the questions of “do you have a message for Brooklyn this morning?” and “are you disappointed that family business is being aired in public?” as he made his way into the event.
In his Instagram story posts, Brooklyn accused his parents of “controlling” and “performative” behaviour, as well as alleging that his family has tried to “ruin” his relationship with his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham since before they were married.
Brooklyn also alleged that Victoria had pulled out of designing Nicola’s wedding dress at the eleventh hour before their big day, and “hijacked” his first dance leaving him the most “uncomfortable” and “humiliated” he’d felt in his “entire life”.

“The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards,” he concluded. “I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety.
“For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared. I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose, and have found peace and relief.
“My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want is peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”
HuffPost UK contacted representatives for both Sir David and Victoria Beckham on Tuesday morning, but has not received a response.
