The new HBO Game of Thrones spin-off series has been filming across Belfast and Northern Ireland.
The first episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, a spin-off series set 70 years after House of the Dragon and 90 years before Game of Thrones, has premiered.
The HBO series, broadcast on Sky and NOW in the UK, is already generating buzz for its impressive Northern Irish landscapes.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms chronicles the journey of humble hedge knight Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey) as he traverses Westeros to participate in a life-altering tournament.
Along the way, he encounters a young squire named Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell), who accompanies him on his grand quest.

Where was A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms filmed?
The HBO series was primarily shot in Belfast, Northern Ireland, a favourite filming spot for Game of Thrones.
This includes the renowned Titanic Studios, which served as the main hub for most indoor sets like tournament preparation rooms, inns, and castle halls.
Several majestic castles in Northern Ireland were also utilised during production, including Myra Castle in County Down and Glenarm Castle in County Antrim.
Get Sky’s new TV and Netflix bundle

TV lovers can now get Sky TV, Netflix and Discovery+ for £15 per month with the new Essential TV bundle.
This delivers live and on-demand TV without a satellite dish or aerial and includes hit shows like A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
Local viewers may also recognise scenes from Hen Mountain in the Mournes, Cave Hill in Belfast, the Hidden Village of Galboly in the Glens of Antrim, and Tollymore Forest Park.
Unlike House of the Dragon, another Game of Thrones prequel, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms relies minimally on CGI.
The comedy-drama, set in a period of relative peace, beautifully showcases the rugged landscapes of Westeros, reports the Express.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is adapted from George R. R. Martin’s Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas.
With three books in the series – The Hedge Knight, The Sworn Sword, and The Mystery Knight – it’s likely that Northern Ireland will see the return of camera crews soon.
The second season was given the go-ahead even before the launch, with filming kicking off in December 2025.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms airs weekly on Mondays in the UK at 3am and again at 9pm on Sky Atlantic.
