She’s been reunited with her Strictly co-stars

La Voix has opened up about how she’s dealing with the injury that forced her out of Strictly Come Dancing as she reunites with her co-stars and hits the road in the hit show’s live tour.

Fans of the hit BBC One dance show will recall that the drag performer, whose real name is Christopher Dennis, was among the 15 celebrities who signed up to take part in the competition last year, and she was paired with professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec for her time on the show.

But their journey in Strictly’s 2025 series came to a gutting end when the Ru Paul’s Drag Race star had to withdraw from the show due to injury, just after getting a bye through to Strictly’s annual Blackpool special, which sees the programme broadcast live from the famous Tower Ballroom.

However, it was then just days later in late November that it was confirmed that La Voix’s dancing journey will be picking back up again as she was named as one of the stars set to take on the 2026 Strictly Come Dancing Live tour.

In a statement at the time, La Voix said: “I loved being part of Strictly and was devastated when my time on the show was cut short because of injury. But now I’m absolutely thrilled to have the chance to get back on an even bigger dancefloor with the sparkling 2026 Strictly live tour. I can’t wait to sashay my way around the country with my wonderful partner Aljaz by my side.”

She has since reunited with Aljaz, and the other stars set to hit the road from this Friday (January 23) for the string of arena shows, including George Clarke, Vicky Pattison, Lewis Cope and Ellie Goldstein.

The former contestants and their professional dance partners will also visit Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester, before the final date at London’s O2 Arena on February 15. It was previously announced that judges Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood will be part of the line-up.

It Takes Two presenter and former Strictly professional dancer Manrara returns to host the tour, which is expected to run in a similar format to the TV show, with the audience invited to vote for their favourite couple.

And while La Voix was gutted to pull out of last year’s competition due to a foot injury, and said she would have to wear more practical shoes for the tour. She said: “I’ve been doing my rehab and they’ve given me a lower heel to make it easier. This is the only time you’ll see La Voix in a frumpy heel, but it’s what I’ve got to do.”

It comes as La Voix has repeatedly been tipped to make a return to show, following the exits of both Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. The duo announced in October that they would be leaving Strictly – which they have co-hosted together since 2014 – at the end of the 2025 series.

While the Strictly Christmas special on December 25 was their last aired appearance in the ballroom, their last live show was on December 20 as the 2025 series final took place.

La Voix appeared on This Morning earlier this month and speaking about the upcoming Strictly Come Dancing Live tour alongside Vicky and George, Ben Shephard observed: “There is an opportunity, there is an opening…” La Voix replied: “There is…

“There’s two openings. Don’t forget the second one. There’s two jobs going.” Ben replied: “OK, so you’d take either?” to which La Voix responded: “I would,” adding: “And that’s why I’m keeping in with Shirley [Ballas], because I think she might be quite influential with the choice of voting.”
