Fresh off the back of the new season, Marvel Rivals developer NetEase is preparing a new update.
A big new update is inbound for Marvel Rivals, as developer NetEase promises to fix and issue that is plaguing the online hero shooter.
According to a recent post on X, NetEase will introduce a “combat behaviour detection system” to Marvel Rivals.
The new technology will detect whether players are actually participating in online matches, or simply joining games to farm stats and gain hero proficiency points, without actually contributing to the battle.
NetEase explains more: “Recently, we’ve noticed that some players are exploiting matches by remaining stationary and repeatedly farming stats to gain hero proficiency points. This behaviour disrupts normal gameplay and seriously affects the match experience of other players.
“To address this, we are planning to introduce a combat behaviour detection system. Players found engaging in such behaviour may face penalties including, but not limited to: warnings, short-term suspensions, long-term suspensions, or permanent account bans.”
As NetEase points out, guilty players could face long-term bans if the technology detects foul play.
In other Marvel Rivals news, the next batch of skins are about to make their debut within the game.
As you can see from the tweet above, Disco Pop Luna Snow and Boogie Bolt Thor will join the item shop from January 22 until February 19.
“Luna Snow brings the heat with her Disco Pop look – cool nerves, fearless rhythm, and a performance made for Times Square.
“By her side, Thor, Boogie Bolt answers the call, trading thunder for pure groove as lightning strikes to the beat.”
