3M Says Trump’s Greenland Tariffs Could Be a $40 Million Hit
3M’s CEO said President Trump’s threatened tariffs on eight European nations could translate to a “$30 million, $40 million impact this year” for the materials maker.
CEO Bill Brown said 3M imports about $250 million of goods from Europe annually, which could be affected by duties related to Trump’s effort to claim Greenland.
“But again, we’re a long way from that becoming an executive order, so we’ll see,” Brown told analysts at an earnings call. “We’re watching it, as everybody else is.”
