MARCUS RASHFORD’S impressive form in the Champions League could help him snag a permanent deal at Barcelona.

The England star picked up yet another assist in Barca’s 4-2 win over Slavia Prague on Wednesday.

Rashford, 28, now has more goal contributions in the Champions League than any of his team-mates.

He has scored four times including a double at Newcastle, and he has four assists – from just seven matches.

The on-loan Manchester United man could make his stay at the Nou Camp permanent.

Barcelona reportedly have an option to sign him outright for £26million at the end of the season.

And it is understood they have been impressed by his attacking prowess, though concerns remain over his defensive contribution.

Barca sporting director Deco was asked about Rashford’s future last month.

He said: “It’s not the time to make any decision regarding Rashford’s future.

“We’re happy with him. He’s contributing a lot to the team. In the win against Atlético Madrid on Tuesday he came on and did well again, but we have time to make a decision on him still.”

Rashford has helped propel Barcelona to the top of LaLiga, with the Spanish giants also vying for an automatic qualification spot in the Champions League.

But even if Barcelona want to, they may be unable to sign him permanently due to their financial problems.

A second season-long loan deal could be the more realistic option, unless Barca are able to free up funds.
