David Beckham Annoyed Teammate’s Wife While at Real Madrid
A former teammate of David Beckham once recalled how his wife got annoyed by the Englishman while his wife, Victoria, was away. The comments have resurfaced amid the ongoing feud between the Beckhams and their son, Brooklyn.
The 26-year-old dropped an incredible statement on Monday evening where he accused his parents of trying to ruin his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz-Beckham. Accusing his mother of dancing inappropriately with him at his wedding, his comments came following months of speculation regarding the situation between the family members, after it emerged that Brooklyn had blocked both his parents on social media.
Beckham senior has spoken out following his son’s statement, stating: “You have to let your children make mistakes.” However, he will no doubt be upset that the situation is playing out in front of the public eye.

Beckham Annoyed Teammate’s Wife with Behaviour at Real Madrid
A combination of Beckham’s footballing career and his wife’s stardom within the music industry has meant that they have always found it hard to get out of the limelight. And while attention was always on him at Manchester United, it went up another level when ‘Becks’ completed a move to Real Madrid in 2003.
Signed by Florentino Perez as part of the Galactico era, the midfielder found himself in the unique position of being one of few English-speaking players at the biggest club in the world. And with his wife Victoria often away, due to her living in Los Angeles and England, he relied on his teammate, Michel Salgado, to keep him entertained.
The Spaniard was one of a select few players who spoke English, and told the League of Legends show back in 2020 that he often ended up babysitting Beckham while ‘Posh Spice’ wasn’t in Madrid. However, his wife wasn’t particularly happy with the arrangement, as it often devolved into the midfielder asking him to go out.
He said: “I was the one to babysit David Beckham. I did it a lot. It’s because I was the only one to speak English.
“But it was great with Beckham. He was alone in Madrid because his wife was travelling a lot, living in LA and England. So he would call me every day, saying, ‘Let’s go out’.
“And my wife was really p***ed off with the situation, but it was a great time.”
Salgado Looked After Another Englishman Too
Beckham wasn’t the only English player that Salgado ended up taking under his wing, though. Steve McManaman also ended up making the switch to Spain, joining from Liverpool in 1999.
However, the former Spanish defender wasn’t initially excited about looking after the new boy. He told League of Legends: “I remember in my first day at Real Madrid pre-season. At that time, we were sharing rooms and they said, ‘You’re sharing with the English guy, Steven McManaman’.
“So I was like ‘Oh my god, why’. They said, ‘Because you’re the only one who speaks English’. But in the end, it was great. I was the one to babysit the English guys.”
