A Glasgow rape survivor and campaigner against sexual violence is understood to have been charged with domestic abuse related offences.
The BBC reports Ellie Wilson, 28, has been arrested and charged and will appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on April 23.
Daniel McFarlane was found guilty of two charges of raping the former Glasgow University student, and sentenced to five years in prison in July, 2022.
The 28-year-old was also placed on the sex offenders register for the attacks between December 2017 and February 2018.
Wilson, who waived her anonymity, became known for her campaigning on behalf of victims.
She had secretly captured him admitting to his crimes by setting her phone to record in her handbag.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 28-year-old woman has been arrested and charged and released on an undertaking to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on 23 April 2026.”
