Ladgate Lane, Middlesbrough closed for tree removal work

Ladgate Lane in Middlesbrough will be closed on the Ormesby Hall side for three nights from Tuesday, January 27, to allow for essential tree felling.

Temporary evening closures will be in place between Cargo Fleet Lane and Marton Avenue from 7pm to 5am.

Diversions routes will be clearly signposted throughout the works.

During the third phase, buses will be escorted through the closure because of the length of the diversion.

A Middlesbrough Council spokesman said: “Tree removal works of this nature are essential from time to time to ensure public safety, and closures are unavoidable while they are carried out.

“This will be done overnight to keep any disruption to a minimum, and we’re grateful to the public for their patience and understanding.”

Drivers are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for journeys while the works are under way.
