Enquiries are ongoing
An investigation is ongoing after a person was allegedly bitten by a dog at Cambridge railway station. Police were called to the station on Friday (January 23) after being alerted to an incident.
Officers attended the station but the owner and the dog had left. Police said the dog was reported to have the appearance of a Bull Terrier.
A person suffered a minor injury. British Transport Police (BTP) said inquiries are ongoing and anyone who saw the incident is encouraged to contact the force.
A BTP spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Cambridge railway station today (23 January) following reports a dog had bitten someone in the station. Officers attended, however the owner and dog had left.
“The victim sustained a minor injury. Inquiries into the incident are ongoing, and anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016, quoting reference 179 of 23 January.”
