Occupants of cars that crashed in Clifton ‘uninjured’
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said that occupants of the white Ford Focus and the Peugeot, which collided near to the junction between Water End and Water Lane in Clifton shortly after 9am on Saturday (January 24) had been checked by paramedics.
The incident caused the traffic light-controlled junction to partially close as police officers worked to make the scene safe.

A spokesperson for NYFRS said that crews from Acomb and York had arrived at the location at 9.16am.
A statement read: “All person were out on the crew’s arrival.
“There was no sign of injuries, however, a paramedic had checked the occupants as a precautionary measure.
“Police were also in attendance and no action was taken by the service.”
The cars were cleared from the junction, which opened to all road users shortly before 12pm.
