2025 WA Business Awards winners revealed
Mader Group has claimed the premier accolade at the WA Business Awards, with Cancer Council WA, Pindari WA and Revo Fitness among the suite of companies celebrated.
The Luke Mader-founded fleet and plant equipment maintenance services firm has been bestowed the prestigious Business of the Year award as the annual Business News-hosted gala dinner at Crown Perth on Friday evening.
The judging panel not only recognised Mader Group as the Business of the Year, but they also named the company as the Employer of the Year for its strong team culture.
Revo Fitness was awarded Large Business of the Year, recognising its rapid growth to now 67 locations across WA, South Australia, Victoria and NSW in just 13 years.
Finalists in the Large Business of the Year category were Perenti, GenusPlus Group, Phoenix Metal Group and Agilitus.
The Medium Business of the Year award went to My Implant Dentist, a business founded by Kent Tan with the mission of delivering more affordable and accessible treatment.
Businesses that were also in the running for that award were Crushing Services Australia, iCatalyst, Advanced Mining Production Systems and Green Magic Cleaning.
The Small Business of the Year was Livemine Solutions, a company founded by Brendan Parker and Bud O’Shannessy to create a paperless and live data management system for underground mining integrated into tablet-based software.
Finalists for the category were The Good Egg Café, Custodian Work Assist, RFF Australia and Bid Write.
The Micro Business of the Year award went to Glask Construction, a firm delivering bespoke building solutions for industrial and commercial developments.
In the running for that award was FitRight Women’s Health, Ultimate Bathroom & Home Renovations, Crannull and Sun Bella as finalists.
The judges awarded 2Floruish as the Startup Business of the Year, after the disability support services firm underwent rapid, organic growth in a challenging sector.
Finalists for the award were Downright Diesel, Reclab, Spartan First Imaging and Leeuwin Wealth.
The Regional Business of the Year was Bennco Engineering, also known as Bennco Group, a maintenance and fabrication engineering company with a strong team in the Pilbara.
Finalists for the regional award were RFF, Roebuck Bay Hotel, The Good Egg Café and the Pilbara Regional Waste Management Facility, run by the Shire of Ashburton.
Pindari WA won the Indigenous Business of the Year award on the night, after the company forged a reputation as one of WA’s most trusted Indigenous-owned contractors.
Also, in the running for the award were Eastern Guruma, Nani Creative, Woollahra Group and Wajarri Enterprises.
The Not for Profit/Charity of the Year award was bestowed to Cancer Council WA, as it works to reduce the incidence and impact of cancer across the WA community.
Finalists for that award were Happiness Co Foundation, Miners’ Promise Australia, WA Social Enterprise Council and Trigg Island SLSC.
While Mader Group won Employer of the Year, Advanced Mining Production Systems, Armada Accountants & Advisors, Bankwest, Cathara Consulting were all finalists.
Business News executive editor Sean Cowan said there was a wide range of impressive submissions for the annual awards ceremony.
“We’ve seen submissions from organisations of all sizes and across every sector; from emerging innovators to established enterprises,” he said on the night.
“What stood out was not just commercial success, but a real clarity of purpose. Businesses thinking beyond the next quarter.
“Businesses creating opportunities for their communities. Businesses that understand sustainability, inclusion and innovation aren’t just strategic advantages, they’re responsibilities.”
The 2025 WA Business Awards were judged by Jason Brotherson, Johann Caspersz, Troy Cook, Suzanne Dodds, Lauren Gonzalez, Victoria Green, Jasmine Kadic, Paul McKiernan, Brett McPhee, Zion Ong, Harriet Page, Mark Pownall, Nicole Puado, Shayne Sherman and Claire Tyrrell.
