AeroVecto, Vigelon partner to support eVTOL operations in Oman
AeroVecto Aviation Services (AVAS) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Vigelon to strengthen advanced air mobility operations and aviation maintenance capabilities in Oman.
Under the agreement, AVAS, the aviation services arm of AeroVecto, will act as Vigelon’s local partner in the sultanate. The company will distribute and support Vigelon’s AI-powered predictive maintenance and fleet management software for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft and other air operators across the country.
The partnership is intended to support the development of Oman’s advanced air mobility ecosystem and aligns with national objectives around sustainable transport, innovation and the adoption of next-generation aviation technologies.
Oman boosts eVTOL maintenance tech
By combining local operational expertise with digital maintenance and compliance tools, the two companies aim to improve aircraft uptime, safety and regulatory readiness for emerging aviation platforms.
Operators will gain access to maintenance automation and fleet intelligence tools designed specifically for advanced air mobility use cases. The partners also plan to work closely with regulators to ensure alignment with national aviation standards and compliance requirements.
Both companies said the collaboration could serve as a foundation for future opportunities, including potential integration with AeroVecto’s Shuttle platform.
“This partnership represents more than a distribution agreement, it’s about building the foundation for safe, efficient, and sustainable eVTOL operations in Oman,” said Fahad Al Riyami, Chief Executive Officer of AVAS. “By combining Vigelon’s innovative technology with our local expertise, we are positioning Oman as a leader in advanced air mobility services.”
Ali Taleb, Chief Executive Officer of Vigelon, said: “We are excited to partner with AeroVecto Aviation Services, whose vision and commitment to innovation align closely with our own. Together, we will deliver revolutionary maintenance solutions that support operators and regulators in shaping the future of air mobility in the region.”
AeroVecto operates under SkyCrest Aviation and is an Omani aerospace company developing Shuttle, a hybrid-electric aircraft designed to support urban public transport with a focus on safety, comfort and accessibility. Its aviation services division is focused on enabling the integration of advanced air mobility technologies in Oman and the wider region.
Vigelon is a Canadian aviation software company developing digital platforms for drones and next-generation aircraft. Its systems provide fleet intelligence, predictive maintenance and compliance-ready workflows, enabling operators, original equipment manufacturers and maintenance organisations to convert flight and maintenance data into actionable operational insight.
The agreement marks a further step in efforts to position Oman as a regional hub for advanced air mobility services and innovation, as the country prepares for the operational deployment of eVTOL and other next-generation aircraft.
