Bank of America Stock Finally Climbs Above Pre-Financial Crisis Highs
Bank of America notched a symbolic win on Friday when its stock price closed at a record for the first time in 19 years.
Shares of the bank, America’s second largest, rose 1.1% Friday to $55.14, its first record close since November 2006.
Badly injured during the financial crisis that followed that peak, Bank of America has repaired its financial standing in recent years but struggled to get its stock price to recover. The shares are now up 25% this year, after flirting with an intra-day record several times.
