Ifo President Clemens Fuest discusses the institute’s latest index on German business confidence which fell more than economists expected in December. “The German economy is not in a slump, so it’s not going down very quickly,” Fuest says on Bloomberg Television. “It’s stagnating, and it’s been stagnating for a long time,” he adds. “And the focus of this stagnation is really in manufacturing, where things are just not getting better.”
