HDFC Bank shares slip 1% on Q3 business update. Check details
The bank’s average advances under management for the quarter stood at Rs 28.64 lakh crore, reflecting a growth of around 9% over Rs 26.28 lakh crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Advances under management include loans grossed up for inter-bank participation certificates, bills rediscounted, and securitisation or assignment.
On a period-end basis, advances under management were approximately Rs 29.46 lakh crore as of December 31, 2025, marking a 9.8% increase over Rs 26.84 lakh crore as of December 31, 2024.
Meanwhile, the bank’s period-end gross advances aggregated to about Rs 28.45 lakh crore as of December 31, 2025, registering a stronger 11.9% year-on-year growth compared with Rs 25.43 lakh crore a year ago. The relatively faster growth in gross advances points to sustained lending momentum during the quarter.

On the liabilities side, HDFC Bank reported healthy deposit growth. Average deposits for the December 2025 quarter rose to Rs 27.52 lakh crore, up 12.2% from Rs 24.53 lakh crore in the year-ago period.
Within this, average CASA deposits stood at Rs 8.98 lakh crore, growing 9.9% over Rs 8.18 lakh crore in Q3 FY25. Average time deposits increased to Rs 18.54 lakh crore, posting a stronger 13.4% growth from Rs 16.35 lakh crore, indicating continued traction in term deposit mobilisation.At the end of the quarter, total deposits were approximately Rs 28.60 lakh crore as of December 31, 2025, reflecting an 11.5% year-on-year rise over Rs 25.64 lakh crore. Period-end CASA deposits stood at around Rs 9.61 lakh crore, up 10.1% from Rs 8.73 lakh crore as of December 31, 2024.
