Lux Family Law expands with new London office

The Cardiff-based firm said the new office is part of its strategy to reach revenues of £5m in 2028

Lux Family Law is expanding with a new London office to support its ambitious growth plans. The Cardiff-based firm, which was established by Charlotte Leyshon in 2018, is investing in a new office in Mayfair to serve its growing client base in the English capital.

Since being established Lux has acted for 550 clients and is targeting reaching revenues of £5m in 2028. The business has a team of five solicitors.

On its expansion into London Ms Leyshon said: “Opening our Mayfair office feels like the natural next step and with so many of our clients based in London, this allows us to support them more closely. And for me personally, returning to the area where I first worked in family law makes this milestone even more significant.”

Lux (the latin word for light) is also expanding its offering across both its Cardiff and London offices with the appointments of experienced therapist Natalia Wolski to provide emotional support to clients alongside their legal representation.

Ms Leyshon said: “Family law is about people, not just paperwork Natalia’s role means our clients can access professional emotional support at the same time as expert legal advice. It’s an important step in making sure they feel supported from every angle.”

As part of its corporate social responsibility programme for 2026, Lux has become the season sponsor of the National Youth Choir of Wales. It said the partnership highlights its commitment to supporting the arts and widening opportunities for young people across Wales, especially those who face disadvantage.

To coincide with the launch of its London office, Lux will also sponsor and host a celebration of Welsh women lunch during Wales Week in London.

The lunch will feature and Q&A with Francesca James, founder of Ideas Forums and a leading voice in UK entrepreneurship. The event will shine a light on the achievements and influence of Welsh women across business, culture, and the creative industries.

The event will be take place on February 25th at Julie’s restaurant in Notting Hill.

Ms Leyshon said: “Wales Week in London is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Welsh talent. To host this event at such an iconic venue and at such an exciting moment for Lux feels incredibly fitting.”
