Wrexham headquartered sports equipment venture Net World Sports has been boosted with the acquisition of Ball Launcher. The £1m deal will see Ball Launcher’s products, which are used in training by elite clubs including Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool, coming under Net World Sports’ Forza brand – trading as Forza Ball Launcher.

The launcher, which comes in two models, is used for goalkeeper training, set pieces and outfield drills and can deliver over 200 balls per hour with speeds up to 80mph. As part of the deal production of the launchers have moved from Essex to Net World Sports’ Wrexham site.

As part of its global expansion Net World Sports last month also opened a new 292,500 sq ft warehouse and distribution centre in Ohio. The $29m investment has already created 50 new jobs. Net World said its investment in the US has been primarily driven by cutting prices and ensuring next day deliveries to its grow customer base, rather than a response to American tariffs.

Alex Loven, founder and chief executive of Net World Sports, said: “We are investing heavily in both our products and our global infrastructure. 2026 will be a landmark year with the launch of our new $29m warehouse in Columbus, Ohio, alongside continued investment at our Wrexham headquarters, including new line-marking paint manufacturing and injection-moulded plastics facilities.

” By controlling more of our supply chain and integrating advanced AI systems, we can improve speed, quality, and customer experience while remaining highly competitive globally.”

Robbie Hayter, commercial, sales and product development at Net World Sports, said: “This acquisition represents everything Forza stands for.

” Ball Launcher is a perfect fit for our portfolio, trusted by elite footballers and clubs and increasingly embraced across the wider training community. We’re also extremely grateful to Daniel Judge, the inventor and former shareholder, for creating such a strong product and for his enthusiastic support throughout the acquisition. It’s exciting that we now share the ambition to take Ball Launcher to the next level together.”
