New Radisson-branded waterfront residences project announced on Abu Dhabi’s Reem Island

Royal Development Holding has signed a collaboration agreement with Radisson Hotel Group to develop Radisson-branded waterfront residences on Abu Dhabi’s Reem Island in a project valued at AED1.2 billion, the companies said in a statement on Monday.

The project, to be known as Radisson Residences Reem Island, adds to the growing pipeline of branded residential developments in the UAE capital as developers seek to attract end-users and investors with hospitality-linked offerings.

Royal Development Holding is a subsidiary of Emirates Stallions Group, which is listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange.

The development will be located on Reem Island, one of Abu Dhabi’s main mixed-use districts, and will feature residential units with sea views arranged above a shared podium intended for communal facilities. The project will also have direct access to Reem Central Park, the companies said.

Tariq Nazzal, general manager of Royal Development Holding, said the project forms part of the group’s strategy to expand its branded residential portfolio in Abu Dhabi. Elie Milky, chief development officer for the Middle East, Northeast Africa, Greece and Cyprus at Radisson Hotel Group, said the agreement would expand the company’s residential footprint in the UAE.

The announcement follows the launch of Seamont Autograph Collection Residences, which Royal Development Holding said was the first Autograph Collection-branded residential development in Abu Dhabi.

The Radisson Residences Reem Island project is scheduled for official launch at a later date, with further details to be announced in due course.
