Nuvama Wealth fixes December 26 record date for first-ever stock split

Nuvama Wealth Management has announced that it will undertake a 1:5 stock split, with the record date set for Friday, December 26, 2025. The move was approved by the company’s shareholders on December 7 and shared with the exchanges via a regulatory filing on December 8.

Under this sub-division of equity shares, each existing equity share with a face value of Rs 10 will be split into five shares with a face value of Rs 2 each. This means that for every 1 share held, eligible shareholders will receive 5 shares, without any change in the overall value of their holdings.

The total number of outstanding shares will increase fivefold, while the stock price is expected to adjust accordingly post the split.

Stock splits are often undertaken to enhance liquidity and make shares more accessible to retail investors. In Nuvama’s case, this marks the first share split, according to the company’s corporate action history available on Trendlyne.

Despite near-term volatility, Nuvama Wealth’s stock has shown resilience over the longer term. Over the last one year, the stock has delivered a 1.13% gain. So far in the calendar year (YTD), it is up 0.71%. In the last three months alone, the stock surged 10.21%, reflecting renewed investor interest.

However, the performance over the past six months has seen a dip of 7.61%, and the stock is down 3.75% over the last one month. This mixed trend suggests that the stock has been consolidating, even as long-term prospects remain in focus.

Around 10:45 am, the shares of Nuvama Wealth were trading 1.6% lower at Rs 7,003 on the BSE.
