Saudi Arabia e-commerce sales via mada hit record $8.2bn in October

Saudi Arabia’s e-commerce market recorded a historic milestone in October 2025, with online sales conducted through mada cards soaring to an all-time monthly high of SR30.7bn ($8.19bn), according to official data.

The surge represents a 68 per cent year-on-year increase, equivalent to approximately SR12.4bn ($3.31bn) more than the SR18.3bn ($4.88bn) recorded in October 2024, based on figures published in the statistical bulletin of the Saudi Central Bank.

E-commerce sales during the third quarter (Q3) of 2025 reached SR88.3bn ($23.55bn), marking a 15.2 per cent increase from the previous quarter. This represents growth of about SR11.6bn ($3.09bn) compared with the SR76.6bn ($20.43bn) recorded in Q2.

On a monthly basis, October sales rose by 6 per cent, gaining approximately SR1.6bn ($430m) compared with September’s SR29.1bn ($7.76bn).

From January to October, mada data showed e-commerce sales expanded by 47.3 per cent, increasing by around SR9.9bn ($2.64bn) from the SR20.9bn ($5.57bn) recorded in January.

The figures cover transactions made using mada cards on e-commerce websites, mobile applications, and digital wallets. They do not include payments made via credit cards.
