Saudi Arabia issues travel warning
Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports has issued new travel guidance calling on citizens to protect their passports and ensure they comply with validity requirements before travelling abroad.
The advisory comes ahead of peak travel periods and emphasises the need to safeguard documents and avoid practices that may delay or prevent travel.
The directorate urged citizens to keep their passports secure at all times, warning against damage, loss, neglect, pawning or misuse.
Saudi passport warning
Travellers were reminded to store passports in protected locations and verify that they remain in good condition before departing the Kingdom.
The agency stressed the importance of checking passport validity for both citizens and their companions.
Passports must be valid for at least three months when travelling to Arab countries and six months when travelling to other international destinations.
For travel to Gulf countries, citizens must carry either their passport or national identity card.
The advisory forms part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to strengthen travel readiness, reduce disruptions at border points and ensure that Saudi citizens comply with regional and international entry requirements.
