Sharjah Airport steps up operations ahead of winter travel rush
Sharjah Airport has confirmed it is fully prepared for a surge in passenger numbers during the winter holiday period, after rolling out a series of operational measures to maintain smooth passenger flow and service quality.
The airport advised travellers to arrive at least three hours before departure and encouraged the use of digital and fast-track services to speed up processing during peak times.
Passengers flying with Air Arabia were urged to use the city check-in service, which allows travellers to complete procedures in advance and head straight to passport control upon arrival at the airport. Air Arabia and Fly Jinnah passengers can also benefit from the recently introduced home check-in service.
Available facilities at the airport include self-check-in kiosks, baggage drop counters, smart gates, fast-track options and the Hala service, aimed at reducing waiting times and easing congestion.
Sharjah Airport has also opened the Al Diyafah Lounge at the main entrance to the departures area, providing additional comfort and hospitality for travellers. Staffing levels have been increased across key operational areas to ensure faster processing for both departing and arriving passengers.
The airport said the measures form part of its ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency and deliver a smooth, comfortable travel experience throughout the busy winter season.
