Sharjah Streamlines Property Transactions Digitally

Sharjah Digital Department, in cooperation with Sharjah Municipality, has rolled out a revamped package of rental services on the Aqari platform as part of the wider Digital Sharjah initiative.

The upgrade creates a unified digital ecosystem for real estate transactions, shifting the emirate away from paper-based procedures towards a streamlined, sustainable and fully integrated model.

The move brings all rental processes across Sharjah’s municipalities under one standardised system, improving transparency, reducing administrative complexity and significantly speeding up service delivery for residents, investors and businesses. The overhaul aligns with government directives to expand digitalisation and adopt advanced technologies across key sectors.

The enhanced Aqari platform now offers a wider range of services, including digital lease contract management for all property types, multiple payment options and personalised user dashboards. Customers can log in via UAE Pass to access their contract and property information instantly.

Sharjah advances real estate digitalisation

A new layer of cross-government integration allows moving in and out of properties to be completed digitally, supported by direct links with Sharjah Electricity Water and Gas Authority and other entities.

Officials said the system represents a major leap in automation, with 95 per cent of processes now fully digital and requiring minimal human intervention. Lease contracts can be completed through simplified steps from registration to instant issuance, cutting previous processing times and reducing paperwork and operational costs.

Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director-General of Sharjah Digital Department and Chairman of the Committee for the Integrated Real Estate Services Platform Project Aqari, said the new services reflect Sharjah’s commitment to improving government efficiency and delivering digital solutions that elevate the experience of individuals, businesses and the wider community.

He added that the upgrade moves Sharjah into a new phase of digital transformation. “This launch marks a new phase in Sharjah’s digital transformation, moving beyond automation towards true digital integration, with measurable impact on the emirate’s economy and service ecosystem.”

Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director-General of Sharjah Municipality, said digital transformation is essential as the emirate continues to expand. He noted that the partnership with Sharjah Digital Department has streamlined procedures, introduced effective customer-focused solutions and strengthened the value of services offered across the real estate sector.
