Sharjah Police introduce new number plates for classic cars and motorcycles
Sharjah Police have launched a new category of vehicle number plates dedicated to classic cars and motorcycles, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Sharjah’s visual identity and reflect its cultural and civilisational character.
The newly introduced plates include first-category and private plates for classic vehicles, as well as first-category plates for motorcycles.
Sharjah Police said the designs follow the approved format for Sharjah vehicle plates, combining modern standards with elements that preserve the distinctive heritage value of classic vehicles and motorcycles.
According to the authority, the initiative is intended to provide specialised and distinctive services for owners of classic cars and motorcycles, while keeping pace with updates to plate designs across the emirate.
Sharjah Police confirmed that the new plate numbers will be made available for sale in partnership with Emirates Auction, offering customers a wider range of high-quality options and enhancing the overall service experience in line with institutional efforts to develop traffic services.
The authority reaffirmed its commitment to the continuous development of services in accordance with best practices, contributing to higher customer satisfaction and reinforcing Sharjah’s refined urban and cultural image.
