The announcement was made on Wednesday in Soudah.

Under the agreement, National Grid, a subsidiary of the Saudi Electricity Company, will design and construct an integrated electrical network for the project. The works will include a 380/132 kV central substation with a capacity of 500 MVA, along with two 132/13.8 kV high-voltage substations.
The infrastructure will support all zones of the development and supply power to residential, hospitality, commercial and public facilities through each phase of delivery.
Eng Saleh Al Oraini, CEO of Soudah Development, said the agreement represents a major milestone for the project. He said: “This agreement marks a defining step forward in the journey to develop Soudah Peaks, a world-class destination that exemplifies ultra-luxury, excellence and sustainability. Through our partnership with National Grid SA, we are securing the infrastructure foundation needed to power all of Soudah Peaks development phases.”
He added that the new power systems will support operational readiness and reflect the shared aim of both organisations to advance economic diversification and sustainability in line with national goals.
Eng Waleed Al Saadi, CEO of National Grid SA, said the partnership highlights the company’s commitment to supporting large-scale developments across the Kingdom. He said: “This agreement represents a pivotal milestone in developing the electrical infrastructure for the Soudah Peaks project. It reflects our firm commitment to supporting major development initiatives in the Kingdom through integrated solutions built on the highest standards of efficiency and reliability.”
Al Saadi said the project reinforces National Grid’s role in enabling luxury tourism destinations while strengthening the resilience of the national electricity network. He added that the company will ensure the power system for Soudah Peaks aligns with Saudi Arabia’s sustainability objectives and Vision 2030.
