Stocks Are on Track to End the Year With 4-Day Losing Streak
The stock market is stuck in an end-of-year funk.
The S&P 500 was down 0.3% on Wednesday. The Dow was down 152 points, or 0.3%. The Nasdaq Composite was down 0.2%. All three were on track to end the year with four-day losing streaks.
For whatever reason, Wall Street hasn’t embraced historical seasonal trends, like the Santa Claus rally. Instead, things have stagnated in recent sessions.
